The Final 7 (Countdown to GCSEs)

This week Year 11 students took part in the latest assembly (virtually) in our “Locked In: The Final 7” series, continuing the countdown to the start of the GCSE examination period.
The focus of this week’s assembly was the Year 11 Portal and how students can use it effectively to support their revision. The portal contains a wide range of subject-specific resources, revision guidance and materials designed to help students prepare in a structured and focused way during these final weeks.
Students were shown how to navigate the portal and identify key revision tools that can help them practise, review and test their knowledge.
Parents and carers have also been invited to watch the assembly so they can become familiar with the resources available and better support revision at home. The full assembly (approximately 20 minutes) is available below, alongside a series of shorter clips highlighting some of the most useful sections of the portal.

Families have also received an overview of their child’s Mock 2 Examination Results, including ranking information to help provide additional context about current performance and areas for focus as students move into the final weeks of preparation.
With seven weeks remaining, our message to students remains clear: consistent effort, strong routines and full engagement with the support available can make a significant difference in the final stretch.
