Contingency days

Contingency days are in place in case an examination cannot take place as scheduled due to widespread or sustained national or local disruption in the UK. As per JCQ requirements, all students sitting GCSEs and A Levels in the summer must be available up to and including the designated exam contingency day.

A Level results: 13th August 2026

GCSE results: 20th August 2026

Information for Examination Candidates

All students sitting examinations are expected to be fully aware of the key guidelines and expectations in advance of their assessments/examinations. This includes understanding exam timetables, venue arrangements, equipment requirements, conduct during exams, and procedures for arriving and leaving the exam room. It is essential that candidates read and follow all instructions provided to ensure exams run smoothly and in accordance with JCQ regulations.
