Year 11
Welcome to our Year 11 area; a dedicated space for parents/carers to find everything they need to help make the final year of school as successful, informed and manageable as possible.
This page will be updated throughout the year, so we encourage you to return regularly. As the year progresses, we will add important information, key dates, revision resources, examination guidance, opportunities for support and other useful resources.
We have started the page with some key information from our Year 11 Parent Information Evening, including:
Narrated Parent Information Evening Presentation
The presentation below is a full recording of the session, which lasted just over 37 minutes. So, if you weren't able to join us in person, grab yourself a cuppa, take a comfy seat and settle in!
It covers the key information shared with parents and carers about the year ahead, including examinations, revision, support, expectations and how we can work together to help our students make the most of their final year.
If you attended the evening, you may also find it useful to revisit particular sections or share it with someone at home who wasn't able to attend.
Key Year 11 Dates
Below are some of the key dates that we are currently in a position to share with you. These include important milestones, events and examination-related dates that we know at this stage. We appreciate that having dates in the diary early can be really helpful when planning family commitments and supporting students throughout the year. This is not intended to be a complete list of every Year 11 event. As the year progresses and further dates are confirmed, we will continue to add them to this page so that this becomes a useful and up-to-date reference point for both students and parents/carers.

Your Year 11 Team
There is a dedicated team around our Year 11 students, and we want families to know that support is available throughout the year.
- Miss Kirsty Davis – Head of Year
- Miss A Greenfield – Assistant Head of Year
- Mrs E Wright – SEND Team Leader
These colleagues will be your first port of call if you have a question, concern or need some support. They can help you directly or put you in touch with the member of staff who is best placed to help.
You don't need to know exactly who to contact; if you're unsure, please speak to one of the team above and they will help point you in the right direction.
SEND and Access Arrangements
We understand that parents and carers may have questions about SEND support, access arrangements or the additional support available to students during their GCSEs. If you are unsure about anything, or would like to discuss your child’s individual needs or arrangements, please get in touch with
- Mrs E Whitehead – Assistant SENDCO/Access Arrangements
Resources and Support
As the year progresses, we will continue to build this section with resources and guidance to support students with their learning, revision and preparation for their GCSE examinations.
Working together
Year 11 is an important year and there will inevitably be moments when students feel the pressure of examinations, deadlines and decisions about what comes next.
Our aim is to make sure that students feel supported, informed and confident about what they need to do, while ensuring that families have the information and guidance they need to support them at home.
We look forward to working with you throughout the year and celebrating the progress and achievements of our Year 11 students along the way.
